Review: Fanimation Volare Ceiling Fans

Fanimation Volare Ceiling Fans

Similar to the Fanimation Centaurus, the Fanimation Volare is bound to attract a fair amount of attention from your guests. What sets the Volare ceiling fan apart from other fans within this crowded market is its uniquely long and uniquely placed blade arms. The Volare’s thin blade arms protrude out from its body and then angle downward, securing themselves squarely in the middle of the blades themselves. The blades almost appear as if they hang suspended in mid air, independent from the ceiling fan body. This illusion only intensifies when this fan is under power.

Also like the Fanimation Centaurus, the Fanimation Volare is boldly styled and makes a noticeable impact on whatever room it is hung in. The Volare’s light kit is shaped like a round cut diamond and comes to a fine point at the bottom. The blades slope inward and angle downward toward the center of the light kit, creating a focal point.

The Fanimation Volare is a unipacked fan that comes in a chrome finish with mahogany blades, a satin nickel finish with maple blades or an oil-rubbed bronze finish with cherry blades. The Volare has a gargantuan 60-inch blade sweep and a 14-degree blade pitch. This ceiling fan also comes standard with Fanimation’s powerful 188×25 motor that is powered by a three speed reversing remote control. If you are in the market for a quality contemporary ceiling fan that may turn a few heads along with its blades, you may want to consider the Fanimation Volare. This ceiling fan is typically priced around $700. The following is CeilingFantasia.com’s review of the Volare:

Review: Fanimation Americana Ceiling Fans

Fanimation Americana Ceiling Fans

The Fanimation Americana ceiling fan has an early 1900s Victorian feeling to it. It’s a classy antique replica fan that tends to lend itself to a Mediterranean style room. With a long decorative motor assembly this ceiling fan is quite functional is a room with high ceilings. With a short motor assembly the fan works well in any room with standard height ceilings.

The Fanimation Americana comes in either an antique brass or black finish with many different Fanimation blades and lighting kits to choose from. The Americana comes with the powerful FDK211 motor that is always whisper quiet. This ceiling fan comes standard with a pull chain, but does have optional remote and wall controls that can be purchased separately.

The Americana is built by Fanimation, so quality is not much of a concern. If this fan suits your style, I do not believe that there are any obvious drawbacks to it. The Americana is pricey, typically ranging between $1,300 and $1,600 depending upon what components are selected. With the Americana, you get what you pay for. Review: Fanimation Andover Ceiling Fans

Fanimation Andover Ceiling Fans

Fanimation refers to the Andover ceiling fan as smart, stylish and savvy. I would agree that buying any Fanimation ceiling fan is smart, because they will outlast most anything on the market. As for the Fanimation Andover being stylish and savvy, I think that rests in the eye of the beholder. In my opinion the Andover ceiling fan has an interesting art deco design that stands out as being quite bold. Art deco is a style of design that was popular during the 1920s and 30s, which is based upon mathematical geometric shapes.

The Fanimation Andover ceiling fan is quite solidly constructed and comes standard with a custom pie shaped lighting kit with either an amber or opal hue. The Andover comes in an oil-rubbed bronze or pewter finish with reversible cherry/walnut blades that sport a 54 inch blade sweep and 14 degree blade pitch. This ceiling fan comes standard with an included remote control but a separate wall control can be purchased. I could see the Andover resting under the office ceiling of any person with an alpha type personality who desires a ceiling fan that stands out as being somewhat unique.

The Fanimation Andover typically ranges in price from $350 to $400 dollars. The following is CeilingFantasia.com’s review of the Andover:

Review: Fanimation Edgewood Ceiling Fans

Fanimation Edgewood Ceiling Fans

The Edgewood is for the most part a standard ceiling fan, unless you take into consideration the fact that it is built by Fanimation, one of the leading ceiling fan makers in the world. The Edgewood will never be a conversation piece, like the Fanimation Centaurus or Enigma, but its clean design should last a lifetime.

The Fanimation Edgewood Standard Series is a unipacked fan that comes in many different designs, including: antique brass with oak/walnut blades; antique white with white oak/antique white blades; aged bronze with teak/dark cherry blades; satin nickel with walnut/light walnut blades; and white with white oak/white blades, just to name a few. These blades are reversible with a distinct finish on either side. The Fanimation Edgewood also comes in wet location, deluxe, decorative and median series, all with their own unique designs. From series to series, components, such as the blade arms, are modified to slightly alter the design. Most Edgewood ceiling fans can also adorn custom Fanimation lighting.

The Edgewood is one of Fanimation’s best values. As stated previously, it’s probably not going to turn any heads, but it will give a lifetime of whisper quiet service. The Edgewood sports 50 to 60 inch blade sweeps and 12 to 16 degree blade pitches depending upon what series one selects. Further, this ceiling fan is Energy Star rated for better efficiency. Prices typically range from $100 to $250 dollars depending upon what options are selected. The following is CeilingFantasia.com’s review of the Fanimation Edgewood:

Durability: 4 of 5
Customization: 3 of 5

Review: Fanimation Air Shadow Ceiling Fans

Fanimation Air Shadow Ceiling Fans

Alright, I know it’s cliché, but when I review Fanimation fans, the word that most often pops into my head is cool. The Fanimation Air Shadow is in a word, cool, but it’s much more than that. The Air Shadow is innovative, unique, stylish and contemporary. In the ceiling fan world, the Air Shadow is an engineering marvel, because its blades can retract flush with its body with the flick of a switch. It’s the transformer of ceiling fans.

Now other than being neat, cool or a bit nerdy, depending upon your judgment, this folding action can serve a purpose. When one pairs the Fanimation Air Shadow with a Fanimation lighting set, the blades can fold behind the lighting and be out of sight. When the room needs some cooling off, the fan can be turned on, revealing blades not seen by your guests. There is surely a wow factor here and I’d bet that there is an architectural application that could be incredibly interesting.

The Air Shadow is a Fanimation unipacked ceiling fan with optional lighting. There are a number of packaged combinations, including: oil-rubbed bronze with cherry blades; a pewter finish with cherry blades and a chrome finish with maple blades. The air shadow has a 43 inch blade span with a 15 degree blade pitch. The only downside I can see to this fan is that with so many moving parts, it may be more likely than most ceiling fans to go out of balance over time. Although, Fanimation has great engineers and I assume they’ve tested the mechanics forward and backward to ensure they function well over the long haul. The Air Shadow’s pricing typically ranges between $400 to $800 depending on the specific unipack’s components. The following is CeilingFantasia.com’s review of the Fanimation Air Shadow ceiling fan:
