Review: Fanimation Americana Ceiling Fans

Fanimation Americana Ceiling Fans

The Fanimation Americana ceiling fan has an early 1900s Victorian feeling to it. It’s a classy antique replica fan that tends to lend itself to a Mediterranean style room. With a long decorative motor assembly this ceiling fan is quite functional is a room with high ceilings. With a short motor assembly the fan works well in any room with standard height ceilings.

The Fanimation Americana comes in either an antique brass or black finish with many different Fanimation blades and lighting kits to choose from. The Americana comes with the powerful FDK211 motor that is always whisper quiet. This ceiling fan comes standard with a pull chain, but does have optional remote and wall controls that can be purchased separately.

The Americana is built by Fanimation, so quality is not much of a concern. If this fan suits your style, I do not believe that there are any obvious drawbacks to it. The Americana is pricey, typically ranging between $1,300 and $1,600 depending upon what components are selected. With the Americana, you get what you pay for.
